Looking for something to do over reading week? Looking for a good way to get involved with this years College Royal? The Seeds and Forages Show has been a prominent part of College Royal since it first started in 1925. This year will be no exception. Classes this year will be as follows: canola, soybeans, white beans, flax, mixed grains, 6-row barley, 2-row barley, oats, hard red spring wheat, hard red winter wheat, soft white winter wheat, high moisture corn, processed high moisture corn, dry corn (shelled), 6 ears of corn, corn silage, haylage, baylage, first cut hay and second cut hay. The sample size is on large zip lock bag for grains, oilseed and silage, and one slice of dry hay. There is no entry fee, the competition is open to all University of Guelph students, alumni and faculty and samples will be displayed in the crop science building during the College Royal open house weekend.
