A great opportunity to learn the nursery skills called for above, plus work on a farm raising livestock using sustainable methods including pastured & free range poultry, management intensive grazing methods for beef production & free run hogs. The internship would also include mushroom growing, dry bean production & gardening as well as the possibility of exposure to beekeeping. March to October. Not as well paid as the short term opportunity outlined above, but a great way to gain far more extensive experience, including livestock rearing, gardening, carpentry, some mechanical skills, etc. All of this takes place on our lovely 70 acre farm, which includes a naturalized pond and 30 acres of bush to roam in. Lodging and stipend provided.
