The National ACT Critique & Contest is one of the greatest benefits ACT offers its members. In addition to recognizing talent and effort, it also provides critiques from agricultural communications professionals. These individuals possess extensive experience in the field of agricultural communications and can offer advice on improving your communication skills. The entry deadline for the 2011 Critique & Contest is Thursday, March 31st 2011. Contestants must be active, dues-paying ACT members. This is fully paid by CanACT. The results will be revealed at the Agricultural Media Summit in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prizes will be awarded to category and division winners. The following are the categories:

1. WRITING DIVISION
2. PHOTOGRAPHY DIVISION
3. DESIGN AND LAYOUT DIVISION
4. PUBLIC RELATIONS DIVISION
5. PUBLICATION DIVISION
6. ELECTRONIC MEDIA DIVISION

Winners are announced at the annual National Convention. The winning entry in each category will automatically be eligible to win the Excellence Award in that division, which has a cash prize.
