DESCRIPTION:OAC Sheep and Goat Club and Future Vets Club present Dr. Chris Buschbeck\, owner of WoolDrift Farms (East Friesian Dairy Sheep operation)\, a ruminant veterinarian and co-owner of SR Genetics. \nChris was born in Germany\, and has a Masters degree in Ruminant Nutrition\, and received her DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College.\nShe and her husband have been very successful in operating their own dairy sheep operation in Grey County\, is the first farm in Canada to import sheep embryos for artificial insemination. For the past decade\, Chris has travelled all over Ontario conducting AI in sheep\, goats and small deer species\, as well as working as a veterinarian at Markdale Veterinary Services.\nShe is the only individual in the province licensed to perform transcervical insemination\, the only procedure able to artificially inseminate sheep! \nDo not miss the opportunity to come and hear her speak about her career path and the future of small ruminant genetics and medicine!
