Communication in Agriculture Symposium

Are you interested in cultivating conversations about agriculture? Unsure of how to facilitate effective discourse with the public about those sensitive issues? Interested in learning about networking in both agricultural science and business? Then you should take advantage of this FREE event!
The University of Guelph is hosting the first Canadian Chapter of the Dupont Pioneer Plant Sciences Symposium on November 14th from 8 am to 3:30 pm, with the theme of Communication in Agriculture. It will be a full day (including a free light breakfast and full lunch!) of guest speakers from near and far addressing the best ways to have your voice heard and understood in the agriculture world.
Speakers include:

  • Bruce Sargent of Farm Boy Productions – “Breaking Through the Noise – Communicating Ag Effectively in a Fast Paced World”
  • Dr. Radu Totir from Pioneer – “A Private Industry Perspective on Communication throughout a Scientist’s Career”
  • Dr. Kevin Folta’s kenote address “Discussing modern agricultural technologies with a concerned public” + more!
